I sat here tonight thinking about Erin. Youthful, humourous, a client...and now gone. When her mom called me because I was one of last people that had spoken to her, I was devastated. Yes she was my client, I was her personal trainer. But nothing even now would have prepared me for hearing that she had taken her own life. I tried running back through my head if I ever missed any clue, or mention that she was that unhappy. I keep coming up with the same answer...no. I just couldn't wrap my mind around it. If you are that unhappy would you still be working on your body to make improvements? Maybe it was a way of dealing with the stress she was feeling. Maybe she was just not happy about herself and nothing would ever make it o.k. to her. All I know is that she is gone, I am saddened and can only send out my sympathies to her friends and family that have lost her as I have. Erin you will be missed by all who knew you and those that didn't becuase they never had the pleasure.

My Love
I have found an inner peace that I can only attribute to the wonderful woman that I have in my life. No matter what seems to be wrong I can always think of her and know that it's worth the struggle to become stronger. It is so hard to believe that we have known each other for so many years and never knew what lay ahead for us.

Google+
Ok, ok so I am a geek and I love me. I have been playing around with Google+ and I am still figuring it all out and soon i'll be a Google+ brain. I have been enjoying also playing with Chrome and all the apps that are available. I will be testing out the cloud and seeing what I can do personally and for my businesses as well.

Images

It has been a while and I really need to get here more often. Today I will post several images that I have taken in the past. Some are simple daily things, and others have meaning to myself and others around me.
These first two images are of a beautiful Canadian actress Farah. These are just a couple of the images that we created this day. I must say that it was nothing less than a pure delight to work with her. We laughed and really enjoyed each others company during this shoot.
Farah was a true pro and took direction well and was willing to try whatever ideas popped into my head. She even climbed a tree torward the end of our shoot.
I look forward to her return to Los Angeles so that we can work together again.

The value...
...of a smile, a family member, a sunrise or sunset. It's not always so clear to us in a day to day life. But with the loss of something or someone that you truly value, it is crystal clear. More on this later...

Happy New Year!!!

2010 is here and it seems so surreal. I remember when I was younger that it seemed like those numbers were soooooo far away. Now they are here and I am to (really happy about that). Since those first thoughts I have traveled the world, loved, lost and forgot more than I ever imagined possible. As I look at this picture I realise that all that I am is because of all that I have experienced. So as I start this new year, I remember the past so that I can always appreciate the present, and look forward to the future.

New Beginnings
It has been a crazy rollercoaster lately. I have found myself back in control of my time again and realising I had almost sold myself to a company that didn't understand the worth of the people it employs. It's amazing that when you know your right and have a definite of purpose others view it as being a threat to them because they are stuck in the views of the fantasy they have created for the public. I am happy for people I was fortunate enough to work with and the relationships that have developed from that crazy journey. Moving down my new path I am focused on developing new relationships, going back to school and growing my photography business.

Playground fun.

There a several things in life that I enjoy. My family has always been the best of those things. Growing up no matter what was going on when the family got together it was always a treat (even when there was drama). Once I had children myself that pleasure went to a whole new level. Today I spent some time with one of my daughters and my grandson. Nothing can explain how the joy on a child's face can make you feel. As my daughter chased her son around the play structure I remembered how fun those times are.
Absent
It has been way too long since I have been here. So much has happened over the last few months I haven't been able to sit down and put into words everything. It is amazing that with all that goes on in your own life that if you take the time to stop and look around, and usually not too far from yourself...you will find someone that has gone through just as much if not more. Nowadays I think we are so

Absence
Wow it has been a while. So much has happened over the last few months. Hard to know where to start. Well let's start at the most recent and go backwards.
I found out tonight that a long time friend had lost her numerous battles with cancer. While talking to her husband tonight I remembered how great that smile of hers was. She was always cheerful and always had a nice things to say.

Tragedy
My daughter called me this evening to just check in and see what I was up to tonight. That's when I first heard about Jonh Travolta's son. My thoughts and prayers go out to John and his wife Kelly. Being a parent myself I cannot imagine what it must be like to lose a child. I have lost cousins and yound friends but losing your child is another kind of pain.
For most of us we take it for granted that those we love will always be safe and sound. I would like anyone that reads this to reach out and let those you love know that you love and appreciate them.

Year End Thoughts

As I sit here this evening I am reflecting back on this year. It has brought me challenges and new comforts.
The picture here is of me by one of the students that I work with at a local high school program. I let her run loose with my camera and it was as if it was christmas or her birthday. Her eyes lit up and she was so surprised when I said yes she could hold it...when I said she could shoot with it you could see the joy. I sit here now and realise that everytime I take a camera into my hands I feel this same way. Each time is the first, and last time that these moments will be captured.
I view this picture and I see the years that I have been fortunate to have lived, and the lives I have touched. I feel privledged to have been the moment that she felt to capture. As a young teen what could she see in a subject as myself? That is the beauty of what we all have inside of us. We each see our world differently and at the same time we co exist with others that we sometimes don't even notice. That is the wonder of capyuring the moments that make up our lives. Looking at the images created tells a story to each viewer. As you go through your day stop and admire the moments that have made your day. The good, the bad, the boring, the exciting...it is what has made you for that day, savior these and taste all that life puts in front of you.
